Meet our Founder and hear a little bit of backstory… about your new favorite Daily Blog!

Founder Ann McDonald first conceived of her Design Business, Couture Chateau in 1989 with a simple mission:

“Live a custom life. There is only one you.”™

Working with clients from 6 of the 7 continents, Ann and her team at Couture Chateau served on the front lines of lifestyle interior design and decorating, curating everything from the sofas to the silverware for beloved clients.

In 2011, Ann curated a daily (or mostly so) blog under the name Designed Daily.

Designed Daily Blog has since become not only an Interior Design and Decorating Blog (the original site hubbed here at http://www.designeddaily.BLOG, the Designed Daily name also includes Home, Life and Business Lifestyle Design and so much more.

You may find even more at http://www.DESIGNEDDAILY.com.

As a member at various times of several professional organizations including the International Interior Designers Association, National Organization of Professional Organizers, and the Interior Design Community as the Business Moderator, Ann has a strong lean towards leveraging the power of community.

Couture Chateau as an official brand was closed in 2018 as Ann and her husband opted for an early retirement.

Here’s the thing about retirement… it’s more of a re-wheeling than a full court stop.

The Designed Daily Blog and Brand has continued and we welcome you to engage to learn how to live and lifestyle well… as you. The real you.

Interior Designer Ann McDonald has been creating customized spaces for her clients since 1989. Trained in the luxury design trenches of New York City and Los Angeles, Ann brings a compelling vision of custom aesthetic to any project she undertakes. She has an extensive resume which includes both commercial and residential projects across the country.

Ann believes passionately that spaces should reflect and nurture the uniqueness and character of their inhabitants. Working and living spaces should not be static, they should be dynamic places which move people forward in their life journey.

As she states often:

“Perfectionism is the death of a great room” – Ann McDonald

Ann and her teams brought this philosophy to life by partnering with custom, hands on manufacturers and skilled tradespeople throughout the world. They custom designed and private labeled fabrics, furniture and accessories for clients as often as humanly possible and sourced unique vendors willing to stretch the boundaries of traditional design possibility.

Ann and her team also developed recurring Design Seminars for Design Professionals, Clients & DIY alike who desire to be pushed to develop their personal style through innovative design.

Welcome home friend, we are glad you’re here!
